Innovation Day 2024

We kicked off Innovation Day in Edmonton with a packed house and a series of engaging training sessions. The sold-out crowd were ready for three phenomenal days of learning, innovation, and inspiration.

Day 2 of Innovation Day was full capacity once again! The day kicked off with an introduction to the Ice Rink Manufacturing Association (IRMA), setting the stage for enthusiastic conversations as industry leaders and ice rink experts exchanged insights on all things ice rink. From innovative solutions to sustainability, we shared knowledge that will help shape the future of the rink industry. Another day of fresh perspectives and impactful discussions.

Day 2 also covered engaging presentations from Toronto Metropolitan University, the Environmental Investigation Agency US (EIA), the city of Edmonton, and CIMCO Refrigeration Inc. on decarbonization sparking powerful conversations. We closed out the day on a high note with a lively fireside chat featuring Kevin Lowe and Dan Craig. Alongside great stories and valuable insights, we were thrilled to recognize Dan as Innovator of the Year for his incredible contributions to the ice rink industry.

Day 3 of Innovation Day wrapped up with an unforgettable finale! An outstanding lineup of speakers kept the energy high, and the full behind-the-scenes tour of Rogers Place—including the impressive engine room—was a major highlight. What an inspiring end to an amazing event!
